My goal is to provide inspiration and direction in your online marketing success. If you were like me, you had an idea of making money online with your computer and the internet. The problem is, how does one really approach the task of deciphering how to really make a go at this without getting ripped off.

We have all seen those advertisements on how a ‘single mom earned $28,754 in just three weeks with this weird little marketing trick’. Yes, I have been lured on to many a websites, thinking to myself, hmmm..”even if I could make a tenth of what that person is making, I can make of go it and consider it profitable”. I wanted to just try anything to help start the process of becoming self-employed, which is the goal of really most people when they start making money online.

Well, I don’t want to delve to much into the hardships of earning a living online. If you have been around for any length of time with the goal of making money online, you have probably heard the statistics  — 98% of people who to attempt to make money online fail. Only two percent succeed. That is a very harsh reality in the online business world.

The truth is, if you have the desire, you can accomplish your goals. I know, every successful person says that, but it really is true. One of my favorite books is ‘Think & Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill. Now this book is VERY inspiring. If you haven’t read it, go out and buy it, order it on I-tunes, or wherever you can find it. If you have had the desire to be your own boss, this book will bring that dream to fruition. If you want to know more about this book, click here. This is not an affiliate link, just an access point to learn more about it. I can’t stress the importance of this book enough. Its a must read for your strategic mindset – it is also a very enjoyable read.

There is a phrase – THREE FEET FROM GOLD. I love this tagline for a very specific reason.

First, its unique. It doesn’t boast claims of mega-riches. It is about perseverance.

Second, and most importantly,it has a very valuable meaning. In the first chapter of  ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill, there is a section titled ‘Three Feet From Gold’. It explains that the most common causes of failure is quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat – and that every person is guilty of that at some time in their lives.

This small section of the book tells the story of R.U. Darby, who caught the ‘Gold Fever’ in the gold rush days. He had heard about all of these people  who had gone out west and were getting rich by digging for gold. So he went out west, staked a claim and started digging with his pick and shovel. After weeks of digging, his hard work paid off. He discovered a vein of shining gold. He realized right away that he would need machinery and help to dig and extract his discovery. So, he quietly covered up his mine, went back home to Williamsburg, Maryland and told his relatives and a few friends about his ‘strike’. They gathered enough money  to purchase the necessary machinery – then had it shipped. Darby and his uncle then went back to work the mine.

The first car of ore was mined and shipped to a smelter. Their returns on this ore showed they had one of the richest mines in Colorado! A few more cars of that ore would clear the debts. Then, it would be all profits. So they kept drilling, and their hopes of an abundant amount of gold ore that would make them super wealthy – but then something happened. The vein of gold ore disappeared. They had reached the end of the rainbow, but their pot of gold was no longer there. They desperately drilled on, trying to pick up the vein again, but all to discover that  it was gone. The vein of gold was gone, dried up. Finally, they decided to quit. They sold their machinery to a junk man for a few hundred bucks, and took a train home back to Maryland.

So what happened next is the moral of the story. The junk man called in a mining engineer to take a look at the mine. The engineer did a little calculating, and advised the junk man that the drilling project had failed because the owners were not familiar with ‘fault lines’. His calculations showed that the vein would be found just three feet from where the Darby’s had stopped drilling! And that is exactly where it was found!!

The junk man took millions of dollars in ore from the mine because he knew enough to see expert counsel before giving up.

Most people who desire to earn money online quit after the first, second, or third attempt to succeed online. Believe me, once you have been victimized by a few sharks online, it really is discouraging. The bottom line is, just like R.U. Darby and his vein of gold which had evaporated, one cannot give up right at the point in which one is so close to realizing his success. Don’t be the one who quits when they are just three feet from gold. With the right guidance, the right strategy, and the right work ethic, you CAN succeed online.

I hope you follow the steps on the pages of my website and you will discover the path to success.

Warm regards,

Andrew Parsons
