How I Earn $450 a Month Part Time with Kindle Publishing

Kindle Money MasteryIn the last nine months or so, I have delved into the world of Kindle Publishing. What is Kindle Publishing you ask? Well, it is a self-book publishing platform through Amazon. com. Everyone has heard of the Amazon Kindle, but most people think of it as only a device or instrument to read books digitally. Well, that is true, but did you know that you can actually earn a very respectable income by publishing books on Kindle? I didn’t either, or at least I never thought about it really.

However, about a year ago, when I was heavily involved in e-commerce selling men’s clothing on Ebay, I came across a few of my online mentors who were earning great deals of residual income through Kindle.

Around June of 2014, I first became aware of a program called K Money Mastery by Stephan Pylarinos. This is a step-by-step video course which shows you how to earn income from self-publishing on Kindle.  Of course, the first thing I did was take a look at the sales page and watched a few Youtube videos about it. It seemed very promising, and very plausible to earn passive income. However, I wouldn’t really know unless I actually bought the course and checked it for myself. As we all know, many courses out there will either be outdated, not very good, or simply over promise and under deliver.

After reviewing the sales page and many testimonials from some of the entrepreneurs I follow online, I thought about it for a while, but I decided not to pursue it due to being so involved in e-commerce on Ebay. I had already planned on expanding my e-commerce reach by studying and learning about Amazon FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) and really taking the next step in e-commerce.  However, I kept thinking about it and eventually purchased the course in August of 2014. Of course there were life issues that prevented me from jumping right in and testing it out right away. As much as I love e-commerce, the ultimate goal is to create passive income and sell digital products.  It wasn’t until December that I started working on my first book.

Fast forward two years later, and I have 16 books published (almost 17) on Amazon Kindle which is currently earning me about $450 a month. The goal is to publish two books a month until the end of the year to bring my total to 21 books, with around $600 income per month.

Now this isn’t mind blowing income, but it is certainly a good start to building an online passive income. The key is to earn your first dollar online. Once you can do that, all you have to do it duplicate your efforts. This takes takes hard work, dedication, and determination. Especially for someone who has full time job and many life responsibilities to tend to on a daily basis.

Kindle Publishing is a business that almost anyone can do as long as you have some general skills in using a computer. The most important thing is to have the drive and desire. Five books over an 9 month period is not much. However, it is a lot of work to create these books and promote them.  Also keep in mind it isn’t the amount of books you have, it is the quality of books you create and how high you can rank them in the Kindle search results which will earn you sales.

Another element is getting reviews for your books and marketing them. Stephan’s course is amazing and will teach you step-by-step how to do this. A motivated person will make money in this business.

Now that I have some good Kindle Publishing experience under my belt, I plan to crank things up a bit and start building up the number of books I publish.

Before I really start producing many more books and finding more virtual assistants to outsource all of the functions of Kindle Publishing, I am currently building up my back end income stream. Your backend income stream involves creating free bonuses and giveaways within your Kindle books and collecting your readers’ email addresses in exchange for these free gifts.

Once you have email subscribers, you send them email messages through an auto-responder like Aweber or GetResponse. These software applications will send follow up emails to your list of subscribers. Within these emails, the goals is to nurture your list of subscribers and provide them value as a subscriber to your newsletter. This builds trust with your list and ultimately, you can send them affiliate offers recommending certain products (within the niche you they are interested in). This enables you to earn income on the back end of your book publishing business.

I am really excited to see how I can expand my income over the next quarter on into 2017.
